Grange
Farm Studio has evolved from a 200 year old barn. It has been purposefully
designed and rebuilt, sticking rigidly to plans designed by Roger D'Arcey
who has been responsible for designing some of the best studios in the
world.
The
Double Height live room stretches into the beams and eaves of the barn.
Huge triple glazed panels providing both natural light and country scenery
dominate one wall and there are viewing windows into the Control Room
and from the Studio Lounge.
To
contrast the Live Room we also have a Dead Room with angled walls and
sloped ceiling. It's acoustically treated to provide the perfect vocal
booth or any other instrument that requires the dryer sound.
The
Control Room also has a large amount of natural light, so no more mixing
in small, stuffy rooms. A Pro-Tools HD2 system with both a Digi-Design
C|24 and Soundcraft 6000 console construct the heart of the studio with
other outboard gear such as a Drawmer and Focusrite Valve Pre-Amps and
variety of mics for all applications. The quad core PowerMac runs a
selection of programs including Pro-Tools 8 and Logic Studio and boasts
a wide selection of additional Plug-Ins and Virtual Instruments.
A
large Studio Lounge with views across the fields and down into the Live
Room provides the perfect place to chill out when you're not recording.
With Sky TV, a multi-entertainments system and free refreshments.
Our
residential options include en-suite double bedroom and home cooked
quality catering, making Grange Farm Studio the perfect country get
away from the distractions of day to day city life - enjoy wandering
in the wildflower meadows or lazing by the wildlife pond for inspiration!
